My favorite album by the Jesus and Mary Chain isn’t Psychocandy, and it isn’t Darklands, either. It’s the record which followed those, their 1988 compilation Barbed Wire Kisses, which I think really nails what made them great. My take on it for Rock and Roll Globe.
